David Whincup
David Whincup is a partner at Squire Patton Boggs and has been head of the London employment practice since 1994. His expertise gained from 25 years as a specialist employment law practitioner covers a wide variety of employment-related issues, including: individual and team recruitment; policy and contract drafting; disciplinary and grievance procedures; individual and collective redundancy; intellectual property; and the defence of discrimination and dismissal claims and other litigation.
David's clients range from senior individuals to household name corporates across a variety of sectors. His particular expertise lies in advising clients in the financial services sector. He speaks on employment matters, both in-house to clients and for commercial training providers, and he is a regular contributor to a number of employment-related publications. He is a corporate member of the Employment Lawyers Association. He is also an accredited CEDR mediator and a keen exponent of the role of mediation in the modern workplace, scoring a number of significant successes for corporate and individual clients through that route.
