Elaine Ramsay
Elaine Ramsay qualified as a solicitor in September 2009, having spent 12 months of her traineeship in employment. Following a period post qualification in Scotland, Elaine moved to London to join the employment unit at a City law firm. She joined Brodies in May 2011 and began a secondment at the Royal Bank of Scotland in September 2013.
Elaine has considerable experience advising clients on contentious employment matters and manages a large workload of employment tribunal claims on a variety of issues. She also advises clients on a number of non-contentious issues, including grievances and dismissals, and provides advice and support in respect of drafting policies as well as in drafting and negotiating compromise agreements.
Elaine has valuable experience of non-contentious corporate support matters, including regularly advising both purchasers and sellers on TUPE issues in business sales, and advising parties on the TUPE issues arising in outsourcing situations and on the employment issues arising in share purchases.
