Huimin (Laura) Wang
Huimin (Laura) Wang is a partner in the Beijing office of Squire Patton Boggs. She focuses on corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment and employment issues. Huimin works on a daily basis with companies, HR departments and legal departments on employment-related issues. She advises clients on recruitment and termination issues, employment benefits, bonus systems and employment policies. Further, she guides clients in negotiations with individual employees or with employee representatives, and provides clients with training on employment-related issues. Huimin has 14 years of experience working with Chinese and US law firms. She is listed in the 2008 and 2009 edition of Asialaw Leading Lawyers for her mergers and acquisition expertise.
Huimin has experience advising several international software/high-tech companies on the employment issues of their China operations, and a leading mobile phone manufacturing company in dealing with employee representatives on issues associated with lay-off, salary increase and employment benefits. Further, she advises non-China investors on Chinese legal issues in the automotive, retail and distribution, silicon wafer manufacturing, transportation, pharmaceutical, home appliances and software industries.
