Sarah Thompson

Sarah Thompson is an in-house employment lawyer at the Culture Trip. In addition to practicing employment law, she focuses on UK and EU data protection matters for domestic and international clients. Her experience includes advising on notification requirements, privacy notices, consent conditions and data retention.

Sarah regularly provides counsel on international data transfers, specifically in relation to data transfers outside the EU, and implementing alternative legitimate transfer mechanisms, including model clauses, binding corporate rules and the EU-US Privacy Shield.

In the employment context, Sarah advises clients on employee monitoring, subject access requests, data protection policies and the use of technology in the workplace, including bring your own device to work policies.

Sarah is a Certified Information Privacy Professional with the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
