Belgium: Restructuring deal at Volkswagen
Trade unions and management have agreed a redundancy plan to accompany a major workforce reduction at the Volkswagen plant at Forest/Vorst, near Brussels. The deal reduces planned job cuts from around 4,000 to 3,000 and provides for generous voluntary redundancy and early retirement schemes.
