Fat Face and competencies: providing staff with a ski pass to success
Retailer Fat Face's competency framework is branded with six levels named after six types of ski run, in keeping with the company's leisure pursuits background and to inject some fun into its performance management processes.
The Fat Face story began in the French Alps in the late 1980s, when Tim Slade and Jules Leaver, the two founders of the company, were looking for ways to support their skiing addiction.
