Case study: How GSK reduced sickness absence

The employee health management team at GlaxoSmithKline has significantly reduced sickness absence with the introduction of its unique case management toolkit.

The toolkit was devised following feedback from occupational health staff on what they saw as key tools and resources to support them in their role as case managers.

GSK believes it has made sustainable achievements by adopting this case management approach. The model has been taken to all sites in the UK and has shown value in eliminating waste and boosting productivity.
