Case study: Staff wellbeing at Cadbury Trebor Bassett
After Cadbury Trebor Bassett implemented a wellbeing programme for IT staff,
63% of participants reported a better work–life balance.
The study of the
effectiveness of the programme, which was developed for 260 IT staff responsible
for implementing a six-month global IT project, was carried out by Nuffield
Proactive Health over a nine-month period, between January and October 2005.
The results revealed significant improvements in the overall health, morale and productivity of the staff involved, showing a clear link between good health in the workplace and employee performance.
Having piloted the programme as Cadbury's Bournville site, the occupational health team has now extended it throughout the Cadbury group.
