CELRE salary surveys

CELRE provides salary and benefits surveys for the UK’s top management and professional groups.  It is also the leading provider of salary, earnings and fringe benefits data on IT staff in the UK’s top companies.

All the surveys are published in CD-ROM format and follow a broadly similar style of presentation.  The surveys study salaries and earnings for all responsibility levels relevant to the sector or group.

CELRE's salary surveys are priced very competitively, and there are substantial discounts for survey participants. But the benefits of participation go beyond simple cost considerations, as taking part in the surveys allows subscribers to benchmark their own payroll data against other organisations in their industry sector or region.

The surveys provide an unbiased, independent and comprehensive analysis of the market place and enable you to not only check market values for individual jobs but also analyse trend data for earnings movements and labour turnover rates.

CELRE is solely concerned with:

  • Researching and publishing salary survey reports
  • Clear and simple questionnaires for ease of participation
  • Accurate and easy to use results - we aim to produce salary data, trend data and fringe benefits data in a concise and objective fashion

We provide:

  • Clear definitions of job levels and functions
  • Clear specification of organisational characteristics
  • A copy of previously supplied individual data is returned for updating, which cuts data entry effort and enables us to provide true trend analyses based on a pure matched sample

A typical CELRE salary survey would give a quartile analysis of salaries in terms of:

  • Size of organisation (by number of employees and sales turnover)
  • Geographical location (up to 10 location bands depending on the size of the survey)
  • Job levels and functions
  • Qualification
  • Skills

At organisational level the salary survey would give a detailed analysis of the following:

  • Recruitment and Retention problems
  • Bonus Payments
  • Location Allowances
  • Company Cars and Car Allowances
  • Pensions
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Overtime Payments
  • Working Week and Annual Leave
  • Details of salary reviews (month of review, past and future general reviews)
  • Survey specific questions as required
