Domestic violence costs employers £3 billion a year

Time off work due to injuries caused by domestic violence is costing employers and workers nearly £3 billion a year, according to Government figures.

The report, The Cost of Domestic Violence, says that physical injury, fear and anxiety, and time spent seeking help and seeing doctors and lawyers are the main reasons for time off work.

The report also highlights the impact that domestic violence can have on an individual's productivity and performance.
