DWP publishes guidance on "fit notes"

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has published guidance on the new system of "fit notes", which will be introduced on 6 April 2010 to replace the current forms used by GPs for medical certification. Doctors will be able to indicate if an employee may be fit for work with some support. Separate guidance is available for employers and for GPs.
