Employers invest in apprenticeships to tackle skills shortages
Vodafone, Superdrug and Sainsbury's have made a combined commitment to boost the number of apprenticeship places they offer by more than 3,000, according to skills secretary John Denham.
The companies are offering to train more apprentices than their own organisation needs in order to build skills.
The announcement follows the release of the government’s strategy, World-class Apprenticeships: Unlocking Talent, Building Skills for All.
