  • Drinking case sent back to employment tribunal In Sandsfield Gravel Co Ltd v Loving EAT/0415/08, the EAT allowed the employer's appeal against the employment tribunal's finding that there was no chance that an employee who admitted to drinking on duty would have been dismissed after a fair procedure. The EAT held that, in light of the employer's zero-tolerance attitude to alcohol at work and good industrial relations practice, dismissal was at least a potential outcome. (Personnel Today)
