  • Hospital trust's compromise deal ruled outside its powers In Gibb v Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust [2009] EWHC 862 HC, the High Court held that a compromise agreement entered into by the NHS Trust was unenforceable because it had acted outside its powers in agreeing an "irrationally generous" compensation payment. (Personnel Today)
