  • Upper age limit not discriminatory  In Secretary of State for Trade and Industry v Rutherford and another [2006] UKHL 19, the House of Lords held that that the upper age limit of 65 on the right to claim unfair dismissal and statutory redundancy payments does not indirectly discriminate against men.
