Dietrich v Westdeutscher Rundfunk Case C-11/99 ECJ (0 other reports)
In Dietrich v Westdeutscher Rundfunk 6.7.00 Case C-11/99, the European Court of Justice ("the ECJ") rules that, for the purposes of the EC Display Screen Equipment Directive, the term "graphic display screen" must be interpreted as including screens that display film recordings in analogue or digital form. Therefore, the employer of a film cutter had to plan her activities in such a way that her daily work at the monitors was periodically interrupted by breaks or changes of activity.
