When to use this Sunday working flowchart
Use this Sunday working flowchart when you receive notice from a "non-protected" shop or betting worker that they wish to opt out of Sunday working.
Shop or betting workers who, under their employment contract, are, or may be, required to work on Sundays have the right to opt out of Sunday working by giving notice that they object to it (so long as they are not employed to work on Sundays only).
The flowchart should not be used for "protected" workers, who do not need to opt out of Sunday working by giving notice as they cannot be required to work on Sundays.
