Mandatory coronavirus vaccinations for health and social care staff revoked
Implementation date: 15 March 2022
The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) (No.3) Regulations 2022 (SI 2022/206) revoke the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) (No.2) Regulations 2021 (SI 2022/15), which were due to introduce a requirement for frontline health and social care staff in England to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 from 1 April 2022. The revoking Regulations come into force on 15 March 2022. The Regulations also remove the requirement for staff entering care home premises to be vaccinated, which has been in force since 11 November 2022.
