Pensions Act 2004, various sections come into force
Implementation date: 18 November 2004
Sections
coming into force on this date include section 234, which give the Secretary of
State and the Northern Ireland Department the power to take action for the
purpose of promoting or facilitating financial planning for retirement, and
section 317, which provides that the Secretary of State must consult with such
persons as he considers appropriate before making any regulations under this
Act. The Act and
