European Commission consults on free movement of labour
The European Commission held a public consultation between June and August 2011 on new measures to remove obstacles to the free movement of workers within the EU.
The free movement of workers is a fundamental EU principle, currently enshrined in art.45 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
