Polish EU Presidency sets out priorities

The Polish Government, which took over the rotating EU Presidency for six months from 1 July 2011, will give priority to seeking a compromise in the difficult debate among national Governments on revision of the Pregnant Workers Directive.

The main item of draft employment legislation inherited by the Polish EU Presidency is the proposed Directive amending the 1992 Pregnant Workers Directive.
