Steven Horkulak began working for Cantor Fitzgerald International, a firm of inter dealer brokers trading in bonds, equities and interest rate derivatives, in January 1997. From 1 October 1999, he was appointed senior managing director of interest rate derivatives under a three-year fixed-term contract which was set to expire on 30 September 2002.
