Increase to immigration skills charge
Implementation date: 16 December 2025
The immigration skills charge will increase by 32%.
Draft Regulations implementing the change were published on 15 October 2025 and are due to come into force on 16 December 2025. The increased rates will apply to certificates of sponsorship assigned from that date.
The change is part of reforms to immigration rules included in the Government's white paper: Restoring Control over the Immigration System, published on 12 May 2025.
