Parental bereavement leave introduced in Northern Ireland

The Parental Bereavement (Leave and Pay) Act (Northern Ireland) 2022, Parental Bereavement Leave Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2022 (SR 2022/166) and Statutory Parental Bereavement Pay (General) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2022 (SR 2022/167) introduce parental bereavement leave and pay in Northern Ireland. The right is available to qualifying bereaved parents whose child dies, or is stillborn after 24 weeks of pregnancy, on or after 6 April 2022.
