New Discrimination Regulations: An EOR guide - Part 1: General principles

The government laid before parliament on 8 May 2003 a series of Regulations amending the Race Relations Act (RRA)1 and Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)2 and implementing the new rights not to be discriminated against on grounds of religion or belief3, and on sexual orientation4.

The Regulations will implement the various strands of the EU Race Discrimination Directive and the Framework Employment Directive (EOR 95), and follow an earlier round of consultations (EOR 101) and consultative draft Regulations .
