Austria: Men dominate leading positions in companies

A study published by the chamber of labour (Arbeiterkammer) in February 2007 reveals the extent to which the senior management of leading Austrian businesses is dominated by men: only 5% of management board members of the largest joint-stock companies and 10% of supervisory board members are women.

The study examined the 200 largest joint-stock companies, employing a total of around 634,000 workers.
