Chancellor's new tax relief aids homeworking

Tax changes announced in this year's Budget will add fuel to the homeworking revolution, according to a report by the Work Foundation, which reveals how the home is rapidly becoming an alternative place of work for millions of UK employees*.

Since April 2003, it has become possible for employers to cover expenses incurred by employees working from home without giving rise to an income tax charge.
