Denmark: Three-year collective agreements approved

On 30 April 2007, the official conciliator announced that the package of three-year collective agreements reached in the spring private sector bargaining round had been approved by employers and trade union members.

As is the normal practice, once sectoral agreements had been reached in 99% of the area covered by the Confederation of Danish Trade Unions (LO) and the Confederation of Danish Employers (DA), the official conciliator “pooled” all the settlements in an overall compromise, which was put to employers’ organisations and unions for approval or rejection.
