EU in danger of missing key employment targets

The 2003/04 draft joint employment report was issued by the European Commission at the end of January 2004. It reviews the employment performance of EU member states over the past year, with the key message that the EU is in grave danger of failing to achieve key employment targets, such as the overall average employment rate and the employment rate for older workers.
