EU: Unemployment still rising as recession ends
Despite a return to modest economic growth across the EU since mid-2009, unemployment has continued to increase, according to the European Commission's winter 2010 Quarterly EU Labour Market Review, published in February.
The report (PDF format, 430K) (on the Europa website) states that the EU has begun to emerge from a long, deep and broad-based recession.
