Flexible working becoming more widespread

The proportion of workplaces offering differing types of flexible working arrangements has significantly increased over the past six years, according to the authoritative Workplace Employment Relations Survey (WERS)*.

The survey tracked the availability of flexible working between 1998 and 2004 among employers with more than 10 staff and found that all types of flexible working arrangements are now more widely available.
