Flexible working for all should be the norm, says EOC following year-long investigation
The Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) is calling on the government to extend the right to request flexible working to all employees to rid part-time working of its low pay and poor prospects*.
The conclusion of the EOC's formal year-long investigation into flexible working is that 5.6 million of Britain's 7 million part-time workers - one-fifth of the entire working population - are stuck in jobs for which they are over-qualified and in which they do not use all their skills.
