Forecast increase of 2.8% for retail staff next year
An average 2.8% pay increase is predicted for retail staff in next year's pay round, according to research by Mercer Human Resource Consulting1.
Based on 72 job positions at 18 organisations, the sixth annual survey of pay, benefits and human resource policies in the retail sector found that average pay increases in the year to July 2004 stood at 2.8%, a drop from 3.1% recorded by the previous survey.
