Germany: Negotiators gear up for busy 2007 bargaining round
The year ahead is set to be busy - and possibly critical - for German pay bargaining. A number of major sectors are engaged in negotiations in the first part of the year, against a relatively favourable economic background that saw the economy grow at around 2.5% in 2006, with a strong performance from manufacturing exports.
