How important is pay in motivating employees?
Competitive pay is the main driver attracting candidates to an employer, but other factors are more important in influencing employee commitment, according to research from professional services company Towers Perrin1.
Towers Perrin carried out an online survey of more than 88,000 employees in medium-sized and large organisations across 18 countries in May and June 2007.
