Line managers need more input in reward strategy
The lack of involvement by front-line managers in putting reward policies into practice is a major barrier to successful reward strategy implementation, according to the latest findings from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)1.
The CIPD's fifth annual reward management survey finds that front-line managers were given significant responsibility for their direct reports' training and development, but virtually no influence over the level of benefits and bonus payments employees receive.
