Most top companies report on health and safety performance

A majority of large UK blue-chip employers publish information on health and safety performance in annual reports or on websites, according to a new comprehensive analysis¹ prepared for the HSE.

The most recent and most comprehensive study of UK employers' reporting on occupational health and safety has reviewed all publicly available information - mainly from annual reports and websites - relating to 288 top companies, 126 government departments and agencies, 343 NHS trusts and all 449 local authorities in Britain.
