Netherlands: Partially disabled workers dismissed

The bipartite Labour Foundation (Stichting van de Arbeid, STAR) recently published research findings that one-third of employees who are partially disabled lose their jobs after two years of sickness. The new WIA occupational disability law (EER 389 p.18) obliges employers to find alternative employment for partially occupationally disabled employees, which, the research indicates, they are unable to do.
