No end in sight to employers' resourcing problems

Recruitment and retention continue to be major priorities for employers, but efforts to combat their continuing difficulties in these areas are often cautious and limited.
Employers' earlier optimism that 2002 would ease their recruitment and retention difficulties was misplaced; their expectations for 2003 are more cautious as a result.
Skills shortages and uncomfortably high levels of resignations are still prevalent.
However, affected employers tend to limit their attempts to manage these problems to just two or three of the wide range of possible measures. |
