Norway: LO membership increases
The total membership of unions affiliated to the blue-collar Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO) rose by around 10,000 in 2006, according to recently released provisional figures. This is the first annual increase after many years of decline and is thought to be attributable largely to growth in employment during 2006.
