Norway: Survey finds support for minimum wage among union members

According to the findings of a survey published on 14 June 2007, nine out of 10 members of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO) are in favour of introducing a national minimum wage.

Norway currently has no statutory minimum wage, with the minimum pay rates set by sectoral collective agreements providing a “wage floor” for about 70% of workers.
