Pay awards continue to show stronger growth in early 2013 than at the end of 2012, but forecasters remain cautious about prospects for the year ahead.

- The median basic pay award in the three months to 28 February 2013 stands at 2.5%.
- Among a matched sample, half of all pay awards were lower than the same group of employees received at their previous review.
