Report finds that economic crisis will push defined benefit pension plans to brink

The National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) has called for bold action from the government to reduce the threat to defined-benefit (DB) schemes resulting from the current difficult economic conditions.

It makes its request in a short survey1 it undertook in January 2009 to update aspects of its latest annual survey.
