Service sector deaths fall amid crisis in enforcement
The number of workers killed in the service sector in 2001/02 was half the previous year's total, according to the latest report from the HSE/Local Authority Enforcement Liaison Committee (HELA).1 There was a rise, however, in the number of members of the public killed by work-related activities in workplaces enforced by local authorities (LAs).
