Spain: Mediation and arbitration result in more agreements

According to figures published in July 2010, Spain's mediation and arbitration service succeeded in finding agreement in 32% of industrial disputes referred to it in the first half of 2010, compared with 18% in the same period of 2009.

Spain's main organisation for the resolution of industrial disputes out of court is the Interconfederal Mediation and Arbitration Service (Servicio Interconfederal de Mediación y Arbitraje, SIMA).
