Still too few women in top jobs
Women are still under-represented in the top public and private sector jobs, according to an annual survey published by the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC). The survey finds that women make up only 10% of the senior judiciary, 10% of directors at FTSE 100 companies, 12% of senior police officers, 14% of local authority council leaders, 17% of editors of national newspapers and 20% of MPs.
