When to use this model settlement agreement
Use this model agreement on the termination of employment of a current employee to settle actual or potential claims arising from their employment or its termination. It is particularly suitable for senior employees, including directors. This agreement is drafted for use in England and Wales.
We also provide a covering letter when an employee is to sign a settlement agreement - see Letter to accompany settlement agreement. Written confirmation that the employee has been given independent advice before entering into the settlement agreement is included as an Appendix at the end of this agreement.
