Employment tribunal jurisdiction: Judicial immunity for Police Disciplinary Board proceedings

In Heath v Commissioner of Police for the Metropolis, the Court of Appeal holds:

• Proceedings before a Police Disciplinary Board are judicial or quasi-judicial proceedings to which the rule of immunity from suit attaches. This absolute immunity, which arises out of the strong public policy interest of protecting the integrity in judicial and quasi-judicial proceedings, is not confined to immunity in respect of defamatory statements, but attaches to everything said or done by the members of the board.
