Overview
In broad terms, TUPE provides that, where a business or service transfers from one organisation to another, the employees assigned to it follow. In our series of four guides on TUPE, we explore how employers can best deliver the commercial aims of a transfer while minimising disruption to their business.
The guides provide leading practice ideas for transferors (the employer that transfers its business or services to another employer) and transferees (the employer that takes on a business or service from another employer).
This guide considers how HR can engage in a meaningful information and consultation process. This is the third guide in our series on TUPE:
- Managing TUPE: The benefits of observing leading practice
- Managing TUPE: Recognising a relevant transfer
- Managing TUPE: Managing employees following the transfer
