4% paybill increase at Severn Trent Water

The second and final stage of a two-year deal at Severn Trent Water has resulted in pay increases that add a total of 4% to the paybill. The size of the pot from which rises are distributed was determined by the headline rate of inflation for November 2005 (2.4%), plus an additional 1.6% linked to exceeding targets for key performance indicators relating to profitability; absence levels; and the Reporting of Injuries Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (commonly known as RIDDOR).
